Background

This device is primarily used in the health care industry to measure the body temperature of patients. It is portable and can identify temperatures between 84 and 108 degrees. The device consists of four modes: normal, monitor, pulse, and backlight

Identification

This device is 6.35x3.7x2.4 inches. It is cream colored with a green label both on the front indicating malfuncture codes, backlight mode, and a timer. The bottom of this label states "Refer to DIATEK 600 operator brochure..." so owners of the product are aware of the make and model. The top side has a digital screen and the label "Diatek." Cables on this device are green. One of the probe covers is green and the other is red, but both have a silver metal temperature probe.
